The Dal Regiment

The Armed Forces defend Sweden, the country's interests, our freedom, and our right to live as we choose. The establishment of the Dal Regiment is part of building Sweden's defense capability. Until the regiment is developed to full capacity, including a new regimental area, operations will be characterized by continuous development and change. Work methods will change over time to adapt to the growing organization and its operations.

The Workplace

The Logistics Unit leads planning, implementation, and follow-up of logistics and support activities for, among others, combat units, Armed Forces units, staffs, and centers, as well as production organizations within the Dal Regiment's garrison responsibility. The purpose of the Logistics Unit is to contribute to a stronger and more redundant Armed Forces through effective peacetime logistics and unit-related storage and supply for readiness increases and war.

Main Responsibilities

• Daily tasks at the storage facility
• Receive, store, and distribute supplies
• Take actions on supplies according to applicable instructions
• Record supplies in the Armed Forces' accounting system
• Conduct transport
• Handle materials
• Maintain vehicles and handling equipment
• Maintain contact with customers
• Participate in other functions and activities as a natural task in an organization with distributed delegation
• Participate in networks

Qualifications

• Very good computer skills
• Driver's license B (manual)
• Forklift license
• At least completed 3-year upper secondary education or other equivalent competence
• At least 3 years of experience in storage/warehouse work or other equivalent competence
• Proficient in Swedish language in both spoken and written form

Personal Attributes

You are a good team player while also taking initiative and responsibility. You are not afraid to work independently and are loyal, flexible, meticulous, and organized. Meritorious

• Experience with the Armed Forces' accounting system PRIO (SAP)/LIFT
• Driver's license C
• Completed military service or basic military training.

Additional Information

Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a 6-month probationary period
Employment rate: Full-time
Working hours: 40 hours/week, daytime Mon-Fri. Work may be scheduled outside regular working hours

Information about the Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:

The Dal Regiment is one of the Armed Forces' new-old units with roots dating back to 1625. The regiment was re-established in 2021 following a decision by the parliament. Our operations are based in Falun, and we will contribute to the training of soldiers who build the future infantry units/Army.

Employment with us means placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required.
