Do you have another job or are you studying and can work 2-3 weekdays a week during the semesters?

In the role of forklift driver/warehouse employee at ICA's warehouse in Borlänge, your main tasks will involve driving forklifts and picking goods by hand using a voice unit that instructs you on what to pick. The tasks are physically demanding and characterized by a high work pace where you work in different temperature zones.

To be considered for the position, you must be very flexible in your availability and able to work daytime at least 2 weekdays a week, weekends are additional. ICA operates its warehouse around the clock every day of the week. During the summer, the demand increases and there will be opportunities to work more. You who are applying should see this as a long-term extra job and have a high work ethic.

This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Student Consulting but will be leased to our client ICA.

We are currently recruiting with an introductory start in 2025, starting in week 2, 3, or 4. Your introduction starts on Tuesday with theoretical forklift training, followed by practical driving on Thursday. Training together with your mentor continues directly the week after from Monday to Friday, and requires 100% attendance. Therefore, it is a requirement that you are available full-time during your entire training period.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To be eligible for the position, it is a REQUIREMENT that you have another job or studies of at least 50% and have at least one year left in your studies. We will only proceed with individuals who can provide proof of this.

Furthermore, you should have:

Good physical condition.
Approved criminal record.
Very good ability to understand and communicate in Swedish.
Forklift license A1-4 and driving experience is advantageous.
Driving license B and access to your own car to quickly get to the workplace is advantageous.

In this role, you will work towards high-set goals and be coached in development daily, so it is important that you thrive in a fast-paced work environment and strive to achieve good results in your work.

We will request an extract from the criminal record and perform a drug test as part of the process. ICA aims to have smoke-free workplaces. The work environment at ICA's workplaces should be sober and free from drugs, and therefore ICA applies random alcohol and drug tests.
