JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of swimming instructor/pool attendant, you will provide service to our bathers, visitors, and customers. The position also includes pool supervision, cash handling, cleaning, and maintenance of our facilities. We are responsible for municipal swimming instruction where we plan and provide our students with life-saving knowledge, namely swimming skills. An important target group for us is our associations, where we also work on preparing sports equipment for training and competitions.

Another important part of our work is our swimming instruction. Currently, the swimming hall conducts lessons for children aged 6-12 four times a week, as well as private swimming lessons for both children and adults. As a swimming instructor, you will plan and lead the instruction together with your colleague. You will actively work in the water and in close collaboration with your colleagues. You ensure that the children have fun with us. The instruction takes place in both the teaching pool and the large pool. The role includes some administrative tasks such as organizing lists and writing goal fulfillment reports, as well as communicating with parents at the edge of the pool.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with good swimming skills, as work in the swimming hall requires you to pass a swimming and diving test at a depth of 3.8 meters. Before the diving test, we will go through the setup, diving technique, and pressure equalization. Previous experience in a swimming instructor role is considered an advantage. You must have a B driver's license for manual transmission, as the position requires you to move between the municipality's various facilities. We also prefer that you have knowledge of the Office suite, cash handling, and experience in service work, as we consider this an advantage.

In the role of swimming instructor/pool attendant, we are looking for someone who has a sense of order and neatness. As a person, you are calm and secure, and you are committed to delivering results. We also prefer that you have an interest in sports and leisure activities, which can give you better conditions and understanding of the wishes of associations and visitors. It is important that you are attentive and accommodating in your interactions. You have an interest, willingness, and ability to help others and have a solution-focused approach. Since you will be working closely with many different functions, both within and outside the Sports Center, we see that you are good at collaborating with others, relating to them in a responsive and smooth manner, and taking others' opinions into account.
