Security Officer at the Swedish Fortifications Agency

The Swedish Fortifications Agency is looking for a security officer to join the security department's staff. We are in a phase of strong growth and the staff is being built up to streamline the department's ability to lead, coordinate, and follow up on activities at an overall level. Your everyday - strengthening Sweden's security

The Swedish Fortifications Agency is in a strong phase of expansion with large investment volumes to continue developing and building properties and facilities within total defense. The security department is responsible for security protection at the Swedish Fortifications Agency. The work includes security protection analysis, physical security, information security, personnel security, incident management, signal protection, and security protection agreements. The security department currently has about 40 employees. The staff is cohesive for the department's planning and operational follow-up, development of processes, training, and coordination of tasks. The staff also includes the signal protection function.

As a Security Officer, you are expected to participate in the systematic security protection work at the agency. You will coordinate incoming cases and inquiries, and coordinate referrals. You will also support colleagues in handling security reporting and incidents, as well as participate in the management and further development of internal governing documents within the department, unit, group. You will also coordinate the department's training. The work involves many points of contact and collaborations, and you are expected to share your knowledge internally through lectures, training, and workshops on security protection. Travel is required for the position and can be planned.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education with an interest in security and experience in processing within the public sector. You have experience in structured work with your own responsibility and a willingness and ability to take initiatives. You have worked operationally to create understanding and a holistic view of security protection in several different areas of activity, and you have experience in absorbing written information and an interest in applying regulations. You have experience in collaborating with different professional categories and are accustomed to working towards long-term goals. You have good administrative skills, good computer skills as a user of support systems, and good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. Driver's license class B is a requirement.

It is a merit if you have education in signal protection and experience in signal protection work. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' or the Security Service's regulations regarding security protection.
