Security Guard at Eskilstuna District Court

Eskilstuna District Court is a medium-sized court that handles criminal cases, civil cases, and various matters. Our operations are characterized by quality, efficiency, and a pleasant working environment.

The court is organized into two case divisions and one administrative unit. We have about 45 employees. Each case division consists of judges, prosecutors, court clerks, and interns, led by a chief judge. A common case manager is in charge of the court clerks.

As a security guard, you will be part of a team in the administrative department. The court values modern working methods, including digitized case and matter management.

Eskilstuna is a growing city in Mälardalen, surrounded by beautiful outdoor areas and waterways. The city is home to Mälardalen University. Commuting options are very good, with a train journey to Stockholm taking about 60 minutes. The court is located in modern premises opposite the train station.

Job Responsibilities

As a security guard, you will be offered varied and developing tasks in an important and exciting operation. Your work as a security guard includes tasks such as security screening and reception duties, as well as monitoring public areas and during hearings.

Your role also includes administrative tasks such as mail handling, purchasing, releasing public documents, providing support regarding technology in our courtrooms, and participating in tasks related to alarm systems and access control systems, jury management, booking study visits, and internal services such as janitorial duties, etc.

You will also be involved in the work related to general security at the court.

Furthermore, we value very good internal and external service and maintaining a high level of security, together with colleagues in the group.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Valid security guard license
• Completed high school education or relevant work experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Basic knowledge and experience in general security work
• Normal color vision as the work with x-ray equipment requires it
• Good IT and technical maturity as well as basic technical competence
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, and proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage
• Experience in administration and service

It is advantageous if you have:

• Completed training 2ab for security screening
• Knowledge and experience in working with security technology such as alarm systems and CCTV
• Experience as a security guard at a district court/court/justice system or similar work
• Completed the Court Authority's x-ray operator training

Work within the administrative unit is primarily teamwork that requires maturity, flexibility, good collaboration, and communication skills. You have the ability to inspire trust and create good relationships both internally and externally. You learn from your experiences and feedback from your surroundings.

Working hours: Monday-Friday, evening and weekend shifts may occur.
