Company Description

AFRY offers services in engineering, design, digitalization, and consulting. We are dedicated experts in industry, energy, and infrastructure, creating value for future generations. AFRY has a global reach with deep roots in the Nordics. Together, we accelerate the transition to a more sustainable society.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced automation engineer to join our team! We are responsible for developing and implementing automation solutions for our customers in the industry and now need to strengthen our team with a reliable and knowledgeable colleague.

At AFRY, you will have varied tasks within industrial automation. In this role, you will work with system design and programming of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and robot applications. You will also participate in the commissioning and troubleshooting of these systems, both on-site with customers and in project form from the office.

A typical work week may include everything from tender work and technical solution development to project work in teams or urgent troubleshooting at customer sites. In some cases, you may also be hired out to customers to strengthen their organization.

We are looking for someone who wants to contribute with their experience while being part of an engaged and helpful team. You will play an important role in creating stability and competence breadth in a section with a low average age. In the long run, there is an opportunity to develop towards specialist roles or become a broad technical resource and mentor for colleagues and customers – depending on your interests.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who finds it easy to collaborate with colleagues, suppliers, and subcontractors, and who communicates clearly and simply with everyone who needs information – or actively seeks it out when needed. You are resilient and remain calm even in pressured situations, while thinking logically and structured. Additionally, you are ambitious and willingly take a leading role in programming tasks without needing to be prompted – you drive the work forward with commitment and a sense of responsibility.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in programming PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Experience in troubleshooting and commissioning in industrial environments
