to apply for the job
Do you want to lead projects that shape Sweden's future electricity grid? At ic.energy, you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for complex and exciting assignments in electrical power – together with engaged colleagues in a culture focused on collaboration and community. We are now looking for a senior technical project manager who wants to contribute with their experience while growing in an environment where we are building something great, both for our customers and for the future.
About the role
As a project manager, you will drive investment and reinvestment projects for substations. Our client is currently starting several projects, including the modernization of control systems – therefore, we are looking for someone with experience in this type of assignment. Other types of projects may also become relevant.
Since the assignments are in line roles, it cannot be determined in advance exactly which substation projects you will be responsible for. However, your mission is always clear: to lead the projects towards set goals within time and budget. Based on project directives, you will develop a project plan, follow up, and report deviations to the program management via the lead project manager.
Placement can be in the Stockholm area or Gothenburg, depending on the assignment and scope. Parts of the work can also be carried out remotely or from one of IC Energy's offices on the west or east coast.
This means that you will:
- Plan and lead projects from start to finish with a focus on time, cost, and quality.
- Ensure that deliveries meet customer requirements and applicable standards.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to create effective and sustainable solutions.
- Review and approve technical specifications and participate in the selection of components.
- Be the main contact for technical questions towards customers
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
- At least 5 years of experience in technical project management or +15 years for a senior role.
- Experience with Svenska Kraftnät or Vattenfall's electricity distribution substations.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Engineering degree, preferably in electrical power.
- Experience with complex projects in transmission and distribution.
Who are we and why should you choose us?
We are a consulting company with technical consultants who have expertise in energy, construction, and urban development. We are particularly motivated by projects that have significance for our future. With us, you will find engaged and smart colleagues who form a strong and caring community. It is fun to work with us, and we also offer particularly good conditions in terms of competitive salaries, flexibility, wellness benefits, occupational pension, health insurance, and fun activities. Our head office is located in Varberg, and we operate in assignments on the west and east coasts. We have offices in Mölndal, Oskarshamn, and we have embarked on an exciting journey that we would love to have you join!
Application: Do you recognize yourself in the description above and want to be part of our team? The application deadline is September 21, 2025, but recruitment will be ongoing. Do you have questions about the position? Great! Contact us at [email protected] Send your application via our recruitment system.
