Strategic Buyer for a Technology-Driven Company in Gothenburg

Do you want to work with strategic purchasing in a high-tech and international environment? We are now looking for a Strategic Buyer for our client in Gothenburg – a role where you will have significant commercial responsibility and the opportunity to influence future supplier strategies.

About the Role

As a Strategic Buyer, you will be part of a category team that drives the strategic agenda towards key suppliers and groundbreaking technology for the client's advanced products.

You will have a commercial overall responsibility for selected suppliers and work closely with production, product management, and product development to ensure commercially optimal solutions. A central part of the assignment is to:

Drive purchasing activities in development projects

Make commercially well-founded decisions

Develop and manage long-term supplier collaborations

Manage supplier performance and support the organization in escalated issues

You may also participate in special projects, such as make-buy analyses or sourcing of supply chains in strategically important countries.

Your Profile

You have:

The ability to develop agreements that support commercial goals

Legal and commercial experience

Experience with Consignment management with suppliers

Documented ability to drive effective supplier relationships

Good understanding of management systems, Code of Conduct, and ERP systems

A proactive and independent working style

Experience with a process- and project-oriented approach

Preferred:

Experience or knowledge in Lean, Six Sigma, or 5S

Interest and/or experience in technology-driven environments

Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
