About the job

Previous experience in food preparation, catering, retail, and/or customer service is desirable but not necessary – you will receive complete training and will attend various courses at the University of Subway®. It is more important that you are a team player with a winning attitude.

Subway is the world's largest fast-food chain with restaurants in over 100 countries. In Sweden, there are about 160 restaurants, and the goal is to increase the number of restaurants in the coming years.

Subcom Sweden AB is an organization led by Nordic Bites Oy, which together is responsible for over 350 restaurants in Sweden and Finland.

Main responsibilities:

• Prepare and prep meat and vegetables, including baking bread and cookies
• Ensure that food storage and preparation areas meet health and safety standards
• Follow Subway's rules and policies
• Cashier duties
• Record deliveries
• Carry out cleaning and tidying according to daily, weekly, and monthly schedules
• Follow safety procedures
• Work as part of a team
• Deliver high-standard service when handling products, during sales, and in interactions with guests.

As a Sandwich Artist™, you serve and create added value for guests in an efficient and pleasant manner. In this role, you promote awareness of Subway® as a brand and ensure that hygiene standards are met.

Who are you and what do we expect from you?

- An ability to work in a fast-paced and hectic environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.

- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues.

- The ability to work independently and take initiative when needed.

- Flexibility to work different shifts and during weekends, evenings, and holidays.

- Experience in fast food or the restaurant industry is a big plus.

- Good knowledge of Swedish is a requirement. Good knowledge of English is a big plus.

- You are stable, meaning calm and controlled even in stressful situations.

- You love working with and alongside people.

- You have good collaboration skills, meaning you work well with others.

- You are service-oriented, meaning attentive and accommodating in your interactions. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions.

You should enjoy meeting new people and find it rewarding to help others.

Scope: Part-time, varying working hours

Employment type: Permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period
