We are now looking for someone who is passionate about beautiful outdoor environments and wants to help us maintain our green areas within Region Örebro County!

For the 2025 season, we need to hire a seasonal worker for the Park Operations Group based in Karlskoga. This is a seasonal position for six months (April - September).

Within the Park department, we work with all types of park and garden maintenance, such as planning, maintenance, establishment, and planting throughout the county, covering a total area of approximately 730,000 m2. Our fundamental mission is to manage and develop sustainable and well-functioning park areas for all our visitors and the Region's staff.

The Property Area is responsible for the management, construction, and operation of Region Örebro County's properties across the county - hospitals, health centers, and schools. We have a Property Department that manages the region's properties, which also includes artistic decoration, a Construction Project Department responsible for planning, renovations, and new constructions, and an Operations Department responsible for the daily operation of the properties, including park maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

The main tasks for a seasonal worker include caring for summer flowers, weeding, hedge trimming, mowing, watering, planting, cleaning, and more.

As a seasonal worker with us, you will be part of a smaller workgroup with a strong commitment and interest in green and sustainable development. You will work both in a team and independently.

Qualifications

You should have an interest in nature and gardening and have experience in the field.

In addition to a high school diploma and a B driver's license, a gardening education is required. Experience with machinery is highly meritorious.

You should be able to work independently and have good initiative and collaboration skills.

Experience in park operations is an advantage, as well as personal suitability, sense of responsibility, and a positive attitude.
