Job responsibilities

As a traveling diagnostic/service technician, you will have a varied role where you will diagnose, assemble, and perform service and maintenance on vehicle-mounted scales on waste collection vehicles, hook-lift vehicles, and similar. You will troubleshoot and analyze the scales, check the registration systems, and ensure they function correctly. As part of this work, you will be in contact with Tamtron's suppliers for support, with dialogues conducted in English. The job also includes the installation of hydraulic and load cell-based scales as well as auxiliary equipment directly on the vehicles. Your work is meticulous and technical, and you will develop to become accredited to calibrate scales. You will be part of a team of traveling service technicians who collaborate closely with the support department, salespeople, product specialists, and the aftermarket manager to ensure everything works as it should.

You will primarily work in the Västra Götaland district, but travel to other parts of Sweden may occur as needed. It is estimated that there will be 50-60 overnight stays per year, and sometimes you will be away for a week at a time. You will be provided with a service vehicle with home garaging, allowances, travel compensation, and a flex bank where you can choose whether you want payment or days off.

• Diagnosing, servicing, and assembling stationary and vehicle-mounted scales with auxiliary equipment, as well as installing hydraulic and load cell-based scales on garbage trucks
• Precise work, eventually becoming accredited to calibrate scales
• Part of a team with other service technicians in close collaboration with the support department, salespeople, product specialists, and the aftermarket manager
• The work primarily takes place in one district, but work in other areas may occur as needed
• Estimated 50-60 overnight stays per year, sometimes a week at a time
• Service vehicle with home garaging, allowances, travel compensation, and flex bank

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Completed secondary education in a relevant field, such as mechanics or vehicles
• Experience working with diagnostic tools and relevant software
• Experience in mechanics and hydraulics, including installation, service, and/or maintenance
• Class B driver's license; a CE driver's license is an advantage
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
