The opportunity
At GPQS you will create a sustainable future. If you are ready to meet the technological challenges within control and protection systems – together with a team of driven senior experts – then you can expect an equally exciting and ever-changing time ahead of you.
We are expanding our team and looking for skilled engineers with expertise in power systems and control systems for power converters. Your main task will be to ensure the dynamic performance of our control solutions based on customer grid code requirements.
How you ́ll make an impact
- Conduct advanced PSCAD and RTDS simulations to assess and enhance dynamic system performance for FACTS technologies.
- Design conceptual frameworks for control and protection algorithms.
- Collaborate effectively within agile, hands-on teams, embracing ownership of both technical solutions and personal growth.
- Drive innovation from concept to completion, starting with offline studies and progressing through simulator and lab-based testing.
- Contribute to agile development teams by delivering new features and applications to our operations.

Your background
- Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD in Power Systems, Power Electronics, Electrical Machines and Drives, Control Systems, Sustainable Energy, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in the power electronics industry or energy sector.
- Strong foundation in control theory for high-power electronic converters.
- Demonstrated experience in stability analysis for projects involving STATCOM applications and energy storage systems.
- A proactive problem solver with a strong sense of initiative, consistently meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations, driven by a passion for continuous improvement.
- Fluent in English, enabling effective communication and knowledge exchange in a global, multicultural environment.
