Your Role

We within ILS Design continuously work on developing and improving new products from an ILS perspective. We do this by continuously working with feedback from customers, both in terms of suggestions for improvements and evaluation of operational data for Gripen.

Within development and design, we secure a sustainable maintenance solution for Gripen and other products and support underlying systems with methodology and working methods. We are also responsible for digitizing the maintenance plan for the new Gripen E/F with modern tools, including 3D instructions displayed via ISG (Information System Gripen), a computer application.

Within ILS Design, we work with development and design within ILS, from analysis to realization of technical information, in new digitization tools such as 3DMI and 2D, and continuously develop and improve working methods. This gives you an opportunity to develop in many different areas as an engineer. We also give you the opportunity to tailor your role based on experience, knowledge, and interest. You will be part of a great team with extensive experience and competence, who support and coach each other in everyday life.

Responsibilities:

• Work with technical and process-related investigations
• Adapt existing working methods to fit both Gripen C/D and E/F
• Build competence around Gripen to be able to drive your own operational investigations with the help of technical expertise
• Work in interfaces both internally with underlying systems/MG and externally with operators from an operational safety and availability perspective
• Drive assignments/subprojects internally within the section to ensure the delivery of the business
• Work with configuration and change management concerning ILS aspects
• Work with operational feedback and service bulletins to customers
• Preparation work for instructions and descriptions in 3D and 2D

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is interested in ILS and wants to be part of an exciting journey to prepare us for completing the development and delivery of Gripen E/F, handling feedback from operations for Gripen, both C/D and E/F, and developing future products.

You may be a high school or university engineer and/or have several years of experience in development work as well as project management. It is very positive if you also have education/experience from working with technical publications. You can be both junior and senior.

You are analytical, can assess technology and cost, and easily create a holistic view. You are outgoing and communicative as the role involves many contacts both internally and externally. You are driven, take great personal responsibility, like order and structure, and you are curious!

Our documentation is mainly in English, so you need to master both English and Swedish in speech and writing.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
