The stroke clinic is located in close proximity to outpatient rehabilitation. At the stroke clinic, patients with TIA and stroke are followed up. Outpatient rehabilitation is conducted by a multimodal team where the work is based on a holistic view and a striving for a common understanding of the patient's individual goals and needs for interventions. We also work closely with our paramedical unit where we meet physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers, sharing experiences and helping each other.

We are looking for

We are now looking for you who are a licensed nurse with C1 level in Swedish. It is an advantage if you have a stroke competence certificate, have rehabilitation medicine or equivalent experience. We prefer that you have previously worked in healthcare, preferably within neurology and/or rehabilitation.

This is what you will work with

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with a particular interest in stroke care. As a stroke nurse, you will have primary responsibility for the stroke clinic where you call and follow up patients with TIA and stroke. We see that you are proactive in stroke issues, furthering your knowledge, keeping routines updated for both the care department and primary care and community. The work may also include administering and being responsible for the quality register Riksstroke.

Outpatient rehabilitation targets adults who, due to injury or illness, have moderate to severe activity and participation limitations. This may include individuals with complex, long-term, and sometimes recurring rehabilitation needs following stroke and other neurological diseases, rheumatological diseases, and orthopedic conditions. As a nurse with us, you will work closely with other professionals in the team – occupational therapist, physiotherapist, social worker, and nursing assistant. You will meet patients both individually and in groups, also together with others in the team. The nurse manages the medical well-being of the patient, such as elimination, nutrition, medication, etc. Together with the team, you will plan the work in outpatient rehabilitation, patient rehabilitation plans, and group activities.

Information about the position

We now offer a permanent full-time position. Working hours are during the day. Start date according to agreement. Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
