Do you want to make a difference for patients recovering from stroke or neurological diseases?
At the Stroke Unit and Neurorehab, part of Neurocentrum at Sunderby Hospital, we work in well-coordinated teams with clear structures and good communication. Our rehabilitation process is effective and allows patients to make significant progress in a relatively short time. We are now looking for new colleagues who want to contribute with competence, commitment, and team spirit!
We are looking for
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. If you have experience working with neuro rehab patients, stroke care, or thrombolysis treatment, it is a big plus. Knowledge of the Cosmic journal system is also meritorious.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a multiprofessional team. You have an empathetic ability and are proactive. You take responsibility for driving the work forward – both in daily patient care and in the department's development and improvement work.
What you will work with
As a nurse in the Stroke Unit, you have overall responsibility for the nursing process – from planning and medical supervision to individual rehabilitation, around the clock. You lead, distribute, prioritize, and evaluate the needs-driven and rehabilitation-oriented nursing work every day.
You will be part of a multiprofessional team where nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, speech therapists, doctors, and rehab instructors collaborate for the best interest of the patient. With us, improvement work is a natural part of everyday life – we work with clear routines and have regular meetings where you have the opportunity to influence and develop the operations. We value reflection and learning. Therefore, we have a joint reflection twice a week to raise questions, share knowledge, and create conditions for leaving work behind when the day is over.
What we offer you
- Double compensation for work during inconvenient working hours. An investment made by Region Norrbotten for employees in around-the-clock operations, making us unique among regions in Sweden
- This operation is part of Region Norrbotten's extra investment in nurses
- Clinical foundation year for you as a new nurse to ensure that the work is stimulating, developing, and secure
- Development and career opportunities where you can help create the future of health and care

We strive to have employees with knowledge of Sweden's national minority languages and therefore value your knowledge of Sami, Meänkieli, Finnish, Romani Chib, and Yiddish.
