On October 1, 2025, we started the project “Basic Maintenance of the Railway Facility Södra Stambanan 2”, an ABT 06 Total Contract that spans over seven years. This involves the sections Grevaryd-Arlöv and Älmhult-Olofström. In total, it concerns 53.6 miles of railway track, and we will have about sixty people, including site management, working on the project.
Södra Stambanan is one of Sweden's most important freight corridors and at the same time one of Sweden's most congested routes for passenger traffic, with a rapidly growing regional train traffic. Establishments in Eslöv, Hässleholm, and Alvesta.
About the position As a Machine Operator TSA Railway, you will operate a Huddig, equipped for work in track environments. You will work with rail changes, switch components, sleeper replacements, basket driving, addressing inspection remarks as needed, as well as vegetation clearing and snow removal with a focus on safety and quality. The workday will include both urgent and planned maintenance tasks, which means varying work tasks, work environments, and working hours. Together with a skilled team, we ensure that our railway systems operate smoothly and safely. On-call duty, night and weekend work, as well as a 7/7 schedule may occur.

Skills and personal qualities You will work as a machine operator according to specified specifications and standards. In this role, it is crucial that you follow safety regulations and participate in safety training. As a person, you are meticulous and take good care of both machines and equipment. You collaborate effectively with colleagues to optimize work and minimize downtime, and you have a strong safety mindset in your work.
Qualifications
- Training for Heavy Track-Laying Equipment according to the Swedish Transport Administration's regulations
- Experience as an excavator operator in track environments
- Professional certificate for Loader/Excavator
- Class B driver's license required
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
