Do you want to help shape an education that makes a real difference? We are now looking for an engaged educator/pedagogue for the SAFE project – Security Guard Training for a Safe Future, aimed at educating the security guards of the future. The project is funded by the Swedish Inheritance Fund.

About the project and your role

The Security Guard Training is a project that develops and establishes a formal education for security guards – individuals who work to create safety for children and young people (12–25 years) in public spaces. The goal is to create a model that can be used throughout Sweden.

In the role of educator/pedagogue, you will have overall responsibility of 100%, where 80% of the position is focused on education and 20% on administrative tasks related to the project. You will be a key person in:

• Structuring and developing the educational content
• Conducting educational sessions and mentoring participants
• Contributing to shaping a long-term and sustainable educational model
• Handling some administration such as documentation, follow-up, and coordination

You will work closely with the project manager and project coordinator. After the project period, the training will continue within Skyddsvärnet and be spread to more actors across the country.

Skyddsvärnet is a non-profit organization that works to prevent social exclusion and create better conditions for people living in vulnerability or outside the labor market. We have no owners, and all surplus is reinvested in our operations.

SAFE is a program within Skyddsvärnet that works to increase safety by creating contact, trust, and support for those who need it most. Our work is based on genuine respect and interest for all children and young people, as well as a strong belief in everyone's equal value.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in social work
• Has pedagogical competence and preferably experience in teaching
• Is used to working independently and in teams
• Has good communication skills
• Has administrative experience and good structure

Meritorious:

• Previous experience as a teacher or educator
• Experience in project work or educational development

About the position

• Extent: 100% (80% education, 20% administration)
• Duration: Project employment for 2 years and 10 months
• Start: By agreement.
