Dietitian for Primary Care in Eastern Östergötland

We are looking for dietitians for primary care in Eastern Östergötland (NSÖ) primarily for work in diabetes care, but also with some duties in other areas of our medical clinic and the geriatric clinic at Vrinnevisjukhuset in Norrköping (ViN).

From the beginning of 2025, the LAH clinic will belong to the medical clinic and will be a distinct section in our joint operations.

At the Medical Clinic, we investigate and treat lung diseases, diabetes, endocrine diseases, kidney diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, strokes, and blood diseases. We also provide advanced home care around the clock for patients with tumor diseases and other chronic conditions that require extensive medical interventions.

The Geriatric Clinic in Norrköping has specialist competence in aging diseases. We have a clinic focused on cognitive diseases and Parkinson's disease (for individuals over 70 years old), a geriatric emergency care unit (GAVA), and a mobile geriatric team, Alma mobile. Engaged patients, respect for individual privacy, and high patient safety are important ingredients in our operations. Within NSÖ, we have three inpatient care departments, several specialist clinics, a dialysis unit, and a unit for advanced home care.

Job Description

As a dietitian within NSÖ, you will work with all outpatient clinics in the department, but also with the department's three inpatient wards where hospitalized patients are cared for. Our dietitians have divided areas among themselves to narrow down their focus areas, but often help each other through discussion and sharing experiences. Together, you will discuss questions within the group, support, and help each other to provide the best possible support to patients. There is a network of dietitian colleagues at the hospital and in the region.

You will work closely with other professionals but will also be responsible for your own outpatient clinic, where you meet patients with type 1 diabetes who are followed at the diabetes clinic. Your work will include, for example, obtaining dietary histories, analyzing glucose curves, and advising on how diet can optimize the patient's glucose control and nutritional intake. In diabetes care, there is a rapid technological development of aids, which will also be a significant part of your work.

Work Group

As a dietitian in the diabetes team, you will be part of a team consisting of doctors, diabetes nurses, social workers, and foot therapists.

The introduction will be tailored to your needs, and we will actively work on development projects and your own professional development. As a dietitian within NSÖ, you will work on-site at the hospital. Once you are introduced to your role and can handle most tasks independently, remote work for one day a week may become an option.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed dietitian. Experience in the profession is an advantage. Good Swedish in both speech and writing is a requirement.

As a person, you are self-sufficient and structured. Furthermore, you are confident, stable, and have self-awareness. You have good collaboration skills and are attentive and flexible in your way of meeting other people. You contribute to a good work environment and have a positive and professional attitude. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
