Physiotherapist at Thorax-Vascular Clinic

Thorax-Vascular Clinic at the university hospital in Linköping is part of the Heart Center.

The clinic provides highly specialized cardiac and vascular care within the Southeast healthcare region as well as regional healthcare. The clinic has its own operating room, intensive care unit (THIVA), recovery unit (THUVA), two wards (ward 6 and 78), and a vascular outpatient clinic. Currently, three physiotherapists work at the Thorax-Vascular Clinic. They primarily work on both wards as well as in THIVA and THUVA.

Job Description

Together with our other physiotherapists, you will work with preoperative information and postoperative rehabilitation of our hospitalized patients who have undergone heart, lung, or vascular surgery. The postoperative treatment mainly consists of breathing exercises, mobilization, and movement training. You will be part of interdisciplinary teams with the staff of the respective ward and have close collaboration with your physiotherapist colleagues at the clinic. Since the work is also conducted independently to some extent, it is important that you can take your own initiatives in your work.

About You

You are a licensed physiotherapist and we would like you to have previous experience from working in inpatient care, preferably postoperative rehabilitation and breathing exercises.

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills and a sense of responsibility. You are proactive and good at planning and prioritizing your work effectively. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You are good at listening and communicating, and you focus on the patient's best interests.
