We are now looking for a driven and analytical Project Engineer in Economics for a long-term consulting assignment at a larger government agency in public transport and community building. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a comprehensive safety project aimed at improving fire safety and evacuation security in the subway system.
The assignment is suitable for you who thrive in a structured role focused on financial management, monitoring, and reporting within investment projects, and who want to be involved in socially important initiatives with a clear impact on people's everyday lives.
Responsibilities
Establish, monitor, and analyze project budgets, forecasts, and outcomes.
Ensure correct and traceable financial management in accordance with internal routines and processes.
Perform ongoing financial work such as invoice management, coding, and periodization.
Be responsible for ensuring that cost reporting is done correctly and coordinate documentation between contractors and the project organization.
Identify and analyze financial deviations and report to project management.
Participate in financial, construction, and forecasting meetings and follow up on decisions related to the project's finances.
Assist in managing changes and additional work (ÄTA).
Contribute to the development of routines, templates, and working methods within financial management and project monitoring.
Qualifications
Must-have requirements:
Experience in financial project monitoring within construction, civil engineering, or investment projects.
Good understanding of financial flows, forecasting, and budget management.
Familiarity with systems, preferably in financial systems such as Agresso and project systems like Antura or similar.
Very good skills in Excel and other MS Office programs.
Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Desirable:
Experience working in the public sector or with larger government agencies.
Knowledge of change and additional work management and contract law.
Experience from infrastructure or public transport-related projects.

Conditions:
Start: November 3, 2025 Duration: until December 31, 2028 (possibility of extension 1+1 year) Scope: 50% (about 20 hours/week) Location: Stockholm Equipment: Computer and workspace provided by the client.
This is a consulting assignment. You will be employed by us at Q and leased to the client.
