The healthcare administration consists of approximately 3,700 employees and 25 operational areas.

We are now looking for someone who has the patient's best interests in mind, is interested in creating support for optimal clinical workflows, developing materials for governance and decision-making, and is a creative and resourceful problem solver.

We are seeking a physician with a strong interest in information technology and a desire to help drive the development of future healthcare. You will play a key role in shaping and implementing strategies that improve the use of digital healthcare systems and health data. The primary mission of the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) is to ensure that patient safety is considered in digital development and to strengthen the patient's independence in the healthcare system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role, you will be responsible for strengthening the digital transformation of healthcare and assisting in prioritizing development initiatives. You are expected to contribute to creating a modern and efficient information infrastructure for all professional categories within healthcare, where health data is used to support decisions, research, and development, as well as improve care quality and patient experience. Central to the mission is to connect daily clinical work with current and future technical solutions, where safe handling of AI will be particularly important.

The Chief Medical Information Officer will have primary responsibility for the Cosmic journal system as the object owner. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the structure of medical information within and between other digital healthcare systems, as well as working to ensure that the region's systems harmonize with initiatives such as the National Drug List and common solutions for record-keeping.

You will serve as the link between daily clinical practice and the region's various management levels and will closely collaborate with all parts of the region's new development and digitalization organization. You are also expected to collaborate with other regions and suppliers to jointly drive digitalization forward and safeguard the interests of Region Jämtland Härjedalen.

The assignment as Chief Medical Information Officer is directly subordinate to the Director of Healthcare and is initially estimated at 70%. The position is combined with clinical work within your specialty up to the desired employment level. The size of the assignment as Chief Medical Information Officer may change over time as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a specialist physician, preferably with several years of professional experience.
