We are looking for a Project Engineer for several railway projects within the Investment area, located in Uppsala with the possibility of remote work.
This is a consulting assignment.
The position is full-time.
The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.
The Assignment
The assignment according to this request involves holding the position of project engineer in various railway projects.
The Investment area is responsible for procurement, implementation, and follow-up of the majority of the Swedish Transport Administration's larger reconstruction measures and new investments. The area is also responsible for the Swedish Transport Administration's overall specialist competence for investment activities. The operations span the entire implementation process for investment and improvement projects, from railway planning to construction documentation and building.
Responsibilities
As a Project Engineer, you work within project management. The tasks may vary as needed, but are mainly of an administrative nature. Based on interest and competence profile, there are opportunities to influence the content of the work. The assignment is suitable for a person with a profile who wants to further develop within the role of Project Engineer. Master basic methods and tools for project management, planning, follow-up, and financial management. Examples of tasks: - Work with forecasts and cost follow-ups - Financial administration, i.e., handling invoices and orders, work before year-end closing, etc. - Manage the project's internal administration such as project specifications, project routines, permissions, access, presentation materials, etc. - Work with project documentation management - Arrange meetings, be responsible for invitations, bookings, etc. - Take notes and minutes at meetings - Work with risk management within the project - Support project managers with scheduling, administration, follow-up, finance, etc. - Preparation and management of quarterly and/or monthly reports - Follow up and update the project's control program, project specifications, site-specific requirements, etc. - Participate in the reception control of the consultant's/contractor's delivered documents and follow up on the quality of the documents - Participate in the work with permits and agreements, e.g., network concession, building permits
- Participate in the work with management data - Work on handing over the project to the manager
Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)
Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.
A. Education, civil or higher education engineer with a technical background. Alternatively, a completed bachelor's degree in economics.
Alternatively, a 2-year vocational higher education with a technical or economic focus plus at least 2 years of practical work experience in a similar role as the current assignment (If work experience is claimed, a certificate from the reference must be attached, also indicate reference person(s) with contact details who can confirm that the reference assignments have been performed. The Swedish Transport Administration has the right to assess whether the tasks have been equivalent based on the requested documentation.)
B. Training in standard agreements ABK09, AB04, and ABT06. Attach a copy of the training/course certificate from the courses
(If the consultant has not completed all courses, they must complete the missing ones within 6 months from the start of the assignment)
C. Driver's license for passenger car
D. At least 2 years of documented experience of work from project organization in the construction and civil engineering industry. The experience must have been acquired in the last five years (Report with a separate written description that clearly states how the requirement is met, also indicate reference person(s) with contact details who can confirm that the reference assignments have been performed as stated.)
E. Training in the client's work environment responsibility organized by the Swedish Transport Administration (If the consultant has not completed all courses, they must complete the missing ones within 6 months from the start of the assignment)
Meritorious
Worked with financial follow-up for at least 3 years in the last 6 years
At least 2 years of experience of continuous practical work with risk management, the experience must have been acquired in the last 6 years.
At least 2 years of experience of work with developing and updating/following up schedules, the experience must have been acquired in the last 6 years.
At least 2 years of experience of work within railway projects in the last 6 years.
