About our client

Our client, a global and world-leading player in its field, has a strong belief in the long-term sustainability of HVDC technology (High Voltage Direct Current). This technology enables energy transport with direct current at high voltages, making it suitable for transmitting energy over long distances and connecting power grids with minimal losses. For offshore wind power or long-distance underwater transmissions, direct current is the most realistic option for energy transmission.

About the role

We are looking for two strategic buyers for our client in Ludvika, a role that suits both those who are at the beginning of their careers with a few years of experience and those who already have solid knowledge and want to continue developing. The department is responsible for strategic purchasing of components for transformers, making a technical interest an important part of success in the position.

The role may suit you if you have experience in purchasing and want to deepen your technical side, but also if you are technically skilled and want to grow within purchasing. Main Responsibilities

  • Define and implement local purchasing strategies 
  • Develop and maintain the supplier base with a focus on quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and drive improvement initiatives
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers in close collaboration with category teams and quality specialists
  • Establish and update contracts with major suppliers, including pricing and purchasing terms
  • Streamline daily operations through proactive collaboration and effective task management
Personal Attributes

We are looking for someone who is communicative and enjoys many points of contact. You easily build trust and create long-term relationships, both internally within the team and externally with suppliers.

Your analytical ability allows you to handle large amounts of data and transform it into valuable information. We appreciate if you are responsible, solution-oriented, and have an entrepreneurial mindset. Since the client is in a strong development phase, flexibility and adaptability are important qualities. In the role, you are also expected to actively contribute to improvements and efficiencies.

We are looking for you who have
  • At least one year of experience in strategic purchasing
  • Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI, and SAP
  • Very good language skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is a plus if you have

  • Relevant education in purchasing or similar
  • Experience or knowledge of electrical components
Other Information
  • Start: By agreement
  • Location: Ludvika
  • Employment Type: You will work as a consultant for 12 months with the ambition to subsequently be employed directly by the client
