The Järpegatan elderly housing is located in the Grums locality. The accommodation consists of three units, totaling 30 places, of which 20 are dementia places. With us, you make a difference!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to make a difference for elderly people with dementia? We are looking for two dedicated and experienced specialist nursing assistants in dementia for Järpegatan.

As care staff, you will perform qualified care and service interventions based on the individual's conditions, wishes, and needs. We work to create conditions for a meaningful and rich everyday life for the elderly and to strengthen and preserve what is healthy.

The care staff play an important role in working with our elderly residents. You provide professional individualized care, respecting the person and their participation and self-determination as the foundation of your work. Your care and service interventions are of high quality and have a strong customer focus.

As a specialist nursing assistant in dementia, you will have an important role in the care and support of our residents. Your main tasks include:

• Providing personal care based on the individual's needs and life history.
• Working with dementia-oriented methods and strategies to create a safe and meaningful everyday life.
• Being responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on care interventions in consultation with the nurse and other staff.
• Being a resource for your colleagues by educating and supporting them in dementia care issues.
• Contributing to quality development in care by participating in team meetings and supervision.
• Maintaining continuous dialogue with relatives and other close ones to create good collaboration around the resident's care.
• Performing healthcare tasks based on delegation.
• Simple cooking and other practical tasks in the living environment.
• Contributing to meaningful activities and community with others.
• Documentation according to the Social Services Act and Health and Medical Services Act.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has completed the care and nursing program with further education in dementia care or who has other education and/or experience deemed equivalent. We see that you have good knowledge of dementia diseases and care methods for managing behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD).

You have a high sense of service, are attentive to the needs of the elderly, are used to working independently, and take responsibility for your work. You have good oral and written skills in the Swedish language as well as computer skills. We place great importance on personal suitability.
