Trainee Program for Newly Graduated Nurses at Kalmar County Hospital

Now there is an opportunity for you as a newly graduated nurse to gain a broad perspective of Kalmar County Hospital during a trainee year!

The staffing unit is hiring three newly graduated nurses who will work in three different placements for four months each, starting in January 2026.

You will be introduced and work in a unit belonging to the medical track (medical clinic, infectious disease clinic, or geriatric clinic), the emergency track (emergency clinic, ambulance service, or pediatric clinic), and the surgical track (surgical clinic, orthopedic clinic, or women's clinic). During this trainee year, you will also participate in the Introduction Year for new nurses.

After the trainee year, you will be offered a position in a clinic where there is a vacant position, or you can choose to remain in the staffing unit. With us, you will be well taken care of; we have a familial community and place great importance on participation.

You are a person who feels secure in yourself, enjoys taking initiative, and learning new things. As the pace in healthcare changes rapidly, both regarding patients' conditions and workload, it is important that you have the ability to work in a structured manner and can prioritize your work when necessary. You contribute to our shared work environment through your team spirit and humble, constructive approach. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
