Assignment Description

We are looking for a specialist with the competence to establish an API management platform with a high degree of API security, the area of expertise also touches IAM (Identity Access Management) and PKI (Public Key Infrastructure). The consultant will work with the entire implementation of the new establishment of API management, from requirements, design, and technical implementation and verification, to the production of technical documentation and instructions, as well as knowledge dissemination within secure API development to the receiving management. We are looking for someone who has practical experience in establishing an API management platform (not cloud-based) with a “zero trust” architecture with a strong focus on API security.

Work is conducted in project form consisting of project managers, architects, and developers, in close collaboration with clients and other IT management.

Competence Requirements: 1. At least 10 years of experience in IT with a focus on communication solutions and IT security, such as API gateways, integration platforms, authentication, authorization, IAM, PKI, and IT security.

2. At least 4 years of experience working with the operation and management of API platforms with API gateways and API implementations on-premises where experiences from technology and security can be demonstrated. OR At least 1 full establishment of an API management platform on-premises with full responsibility for that implementation and design competence-wise.

3. At least 2 years of experience implementing OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect.

4. At least 1 year of experience with solution patterns using opaque tokens for external clients.

5. At least 2 years of experience working with zero trust architecture in API flows (the principle of "trust nothing, verify everything").

MERIT: 1. At least 1 year of experience each with at least two different API gateway platforms (not cloud services) in the last 5 years.

2. Experience implementing at least 1 API implementation with FAPI 2.0 Security profile or equivalent customized OAuth 2.1-based profile.

3. Experience in developing API guidelines for API design and API security for development teams.

4. Experience implementing IDP/IAM systems for API management and OAuth/OpenID standards.

5. Experience implementing API flows with OAuth 2.0 Mutual-TLS Client Authentication and Certificate-Bound Access Tokens (RFC 8705) or OAuth 2.0 Demonstrating Proof of Possession (DPoP) (RFC 9449).
