About Your Role

We are now looking for a Regional Visual Merchandiser for the North region whose mission is to create inspiring customer experiences in our stores. You will be responsible for developing and ensuring a visually appealing store environment that drives sales and strengthens the Åhléns brand. The role includes coaching employees and increasing competence in visual merchandising in the stores, as well as ensuring that campaigns, activities, and visual concepts are implemented in a consistent and optimal way in line with strategy. Examples of your tasks:

  • Visual follow-ups and feedback visits in stores
  • Train and develop Visual Merchandisers and employees in stores
  • Project manage renovations and new establishments in stores
  • Continuously follow up on the current store after the project is completed to ensure that the visual sales environment level is maintained
  • Act as a sounding board for store managers when recruiting Visual Merchandisers for stores and assess work samples from potential VM candidates
  • Inspire and motivate store staff

As a Regional Visual Merchandiser, you will belong to Åhléns Head Office VM team of about 10 people. However, you will work closely with the stores in your region and serve as a link between the stores and the head office. The North region includes 19 stores from Uppsala to Umeå, which means you may need to travel 3-4 days a week. For this reason, we see it as advantageous if you live in the middle of the region.

We Offer You:

Åhléns has been in the hearts of many Swedes for over 120 years. With a long history in retail, we continue to be driven by constant development. With us, you will be part of an exciting journey where we combine our history with innovation and new ways of working to create a profitable and sustainable future.

You Bring With You:

  • Several years of experience in visual merchandising and sales in retail
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in leading, inspiring, and coaching other employees
  • Competence in Power BI, Outlook, and the Office suite, as well as experience in creating presentations with these tools

To succeed in the role, we see that you have a genuine passion for visual expression and a strong business focus. You understand how visual decisions affect sales and are motivated by creating inspiring environments that drive results.

You have an eye for detail, are structured, and good at planning and prioritizing your work. With us, the pace is high and changes happen quickly, so you need to be solution-oriented, flexible, and confident in acting when conditions change.

You are a communicative team player who enjoys collaborating with others, but you are also self-driven and used to taking your own initiatives. You combine your visual competence with an understanding of customer behavior, sales, and store operations - and always keep the customer experience in focus.

Åhléns is a fast-paced organization where a lot happens. With you on the team, we will become even better!

About the Recruitment

The position is a parental leave cover for 1 year, and we hope you can start on December 1. Selection and interviews may take place on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline, so please submit your application today!

As a Regional Visual Merchandiser at Åhléns, you will be part of a passionate team driven by business acumen and entrepreneurship. We give you trust and the opportunity to grow in a developing environment. With that, we warmly welcome you to Åhléns!
