About the Role

Are you a driven and business-minded senior buyer with the ability to navigate complex business relationships? Do you want to contribute to Sweden's fossil-free electricity supply?

Now you have the opportunity to do so with us at Forsmark. We work together for a fossil-free future. To achieve our goal, we need engaged employees who want to work for one of Sweden's largest electricity producers while contributing to a better climate on our planet.

We are now looking for an experienced buyer to join the purchasing team at Forsmarks Kraftgrupp AB

About the Job

You will work closely with your purchasing colleagues at Forsmark, but also with buyers at Ringhals, as we have extensive collaboration. Currently, we are about 35 employees evenly distributed between Forsmark and Ringhals in a balanced mix of women and men. You will primarily represent Forsmark but also Ringhals and, in the long run, Vattenfall in various types of business relationships. Your internal contacts (outside the purchasing unit) will mainly be directed towards ordering units within Forsmark and Ringhals. Externally, your contacts will primarily be with our suppliers. The job involves travel, both for meetings with suppliers and between Vattenfall's sites Forsmark and Ringhals.

In procurements, you will drive the entire process from start to finish, which includes analyzing the supplier market, choosing the procurement method, preparing tender documents, negotiating with and evaluating suppliers in close collaboration with the internal client, and finalizing contracts. You will handle complex, business-critical procurements that require a holistic and proactive approach.

You will monitor suppliers' compliance with contractual terms, manage contract changes, and resolve disputes regarding contract interpretations. You will contribute to the development of the procurement process and be responsible for procurement strategies within your area. Documenting your ongoing purchasing work is a given.

Collaboration with corresponding functions within the Vattenfall Group to analyze and develop common business opportunities is also part of the assignment.

We Offer You

A developing job in an environment where safety, quality, and technology are at the center. You will take on significant responsibility in a business characterized by complex tasks and good professional development. We also continuously work with knowledge sharing. Our employee culture is characterized by competence, expertise, and positive people who want to share their knowledge.

After an initial introduction period, where you will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the business and build necessary relationships, there is an opportunity for some remote work.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A relevant university or college degree (economic or technical orientation) or equivalent work experience with solid experience in the field
  • The ability to drive complex negotiations and create long-term business relationships in an international environment
  • Experience in writing business contracts and good knowledge of commercial contract law
  • Fluent and good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience working in documentation management systems and business systems (ERP) is an advantage. Vattenfall uses SAP.

To succeed in the role, you need to be strategic, have a high degree of business acumen, and be able to act independently. The work largely involves communication and negotiations with external suppliers, which means it is important that you are business-minded, communicative, and act according to Vattenfall's Code of Conduct. You are driven and engaged by building and maintaining relationships with internal ordering units and external suppliers. You have analytical skills, take initiative, and act proactively to identify opportunities for improvement.
