About the position

Uppsala University is in need of an experienced Procurement Officer. The tasks involve independently conducting procurement according to LOU. The procurement items are often various types of research instruments used by the core operations of the university. The work also includes discussions with clients and sometimes reference groups.

The procurement documents can be in both Swedish and English. Templates for this are available. The procurements are conducted digitally in the procurement system e-Avrop.

The following tasks may also occur in this position:

• Maintaining existing supplier contacts and seeking new suppliers
• Gathering and compiling statistics, as well as updating various registers (e.g., contract and customer registers)
• Handling quotes/bids, contracts, and selection of suppliers
• Conducting independent direct procurements and purchases
• Conducting independent procurements
• Making independent calls from state framework agreements

Assignment period and scope

The position of Procurement Officer is a full-time consultancy assignment starting from 2026-03-01 and is expected to last until 2026-06-30.

The work can be performed remotely 100%.

Requirements for the position:

• University degree in law, economics, or equivalent education and at least three (3) years of work experience in similar roles. Alternatively, vocational education as a procurement officer/purchaser or equivalent education and at least three (3) years of work experience in similar roles
• Good knowledge of LOU/LUF
• Experience working with procurement tools such as Mercell TendSign
• Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
• Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
