About the role

As a Operations Specialist at BITS DATA, the team is responsible for operations, incident management, monitoring, and maintenance. They also ensure that our systems are always available. The role also involves participation in projects and being part of the support and on-call chain.

You succeed in the role by:

  • Ensuring operations – monitoring systems, managing incidents, and ensuring high availability.
  • Optimizing collaborations – working closely with partners and suppliers to improve the operational environment.
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining – working with installations, configurations, and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Improving and developing – driving security, processes, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Working proactively – understanding customer needs and contributing solutions that create value.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is proactive and loves to find innovative solutions. You are open to learning new things and exploring new technologies within operations technology and batch processes. Your curiosity and strong drive to develop make you a valuable asset to our team. You find interest in working with one foot in the existing environment with older systems running on physical servers, and one foot in a newer cloud-based environment. And to be part of the transition from the old to the new.

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of networks and/or technical project management.
  • Experience with servers, system operations, and incident management.
  • Knowledge and interest in IT and information security.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and working methods.
  • Drive and commitment to develop in your field.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with IAM, Azure AD, or Intune.

Practical requirements for the role

  • The job includes – on-call duty for evenings, and about 6–10 weekends/year
