Job Responsibilities

As a receptionist at Slottshotellet, you will be part of a close-knit team where everyone takes responsibility and contributes to the whole. Here you will have a varied job in the heart of the hotel to provide the best experience for our guests. 

The reception team will consist of 2 night staff + 5 receptionists including you. You will work with:

  • Check-in and check-out of hotel guests.
  • Responding to incoming emails and booking inquiries to the hotel. 
  • Entering room and conference bookings, handling cancellations and modifications, sending quotes.
  • Managing conferences at the hotel.
  • Being a jack-of-all-trades in close collaboration with both serving staff, housekeeping and being helpful wherever needed for our guests.
  • Handling complaints and issues professionally and capturing positive customer feedback to improve operations. 
  • Actively working to build long-term customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Contributing to a good work environment and collaborating with the hotel’s other departments and teams.

Requirements
  • At least two years of previous experience in reception work within the hotel industry.
  • Very good language skills in Swedish and English.
  • High social competence.
  • Computer skills. 
Meritorious

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Education in hotel and tourism.
  • Experience working with hotel systems, e.g. Bookvisit and/or Visbook.
  • German.
  • Some serving knowledge. 
  • Driving license B.

Other information:

Start: Immediately, by agreement.

Working hours: Varying hours day/evening/weekend. Schedule by agreement.

Location: Slottshotellet, Kalmar

Employment type: Permanent 75-80% employment rate. We apply a 6-month probationary period. We are affiliated with the hotel and restaurant workers' union collective agreement.
