JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The food unit is a large workplace within the municipality with about 27 kitchens in various forms where food is prepared in central units for smaller receiving kitchens. New for Vimmerby municipality is that we have just transitioned to a structure where we deliver hot meals from central units.

We prepare food from scratch using local ingredients, and our kitchens are modern with excellent machines that help prepare approximately 3,500 daily portions.

As a chef, you will work in a varied environment and have the task of preparing delicious and nutritious meals for our guests every day together with your colleagues. In this position, you will be cooking in our beautiful kitchen at the high school, where we serve 450 guests.

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer that you have a chef education or equivalent vocational training - at least 1 year. If you have experience from similar work in a kitchen, we consider it an advantage.

We hope and believe that you are a positive and wonderful person with a sense of service and the right attitude towards work. You are someone who wants to develop and has a natural drive and pace in what you undertake. We also see that you are responsible and thrive in a role where you are expected to be self-sufficient within given frameworks. Since you will be the face towards our customers, it is also important that you are good at receiving and providing information and that you are someone who always does your utmost to deliver the best possible service. Therefore, it is also important that you handle the Swedish language well in both speech and writing.
