Temporary Nurse at Adult Psychiatry Säter

Job Responsibilities

Take the opportunity to try psychiatry this summer! We are now looking for nurses for day and/or night shifts at the Emergency Department, wards 90 and 95 in Säter.

• The Emergency Department is the county's only psychiatric emergency department and works with psychiatric inpatient care. Here, nurses assess patients' psychiatric conditions via phone in TeleQ or directly through visits. The nurse assesses the patient's level of care and refers to the correct level of care.
• Ward 90 is a county ward with the entire county as its catchment area and is the only psychiatric intensive care unit in the region. The ward has 10 beds and high staffing around the clock, as the ward's main task is to care for patients who are admitted under LPT, patients who have severe psychiatric symptoms where there is a risk of self-harm or harm to others.
• Ward 95 in Säter is a general psychiatric ward with 14 beds. Patients with various psychiatric diagnoses are treated in a calmer phase, such as psychoses, personality disorders, mood disorders, and neuropsychiatric syndromes. Patients are cared for according to HSL or LPT. The ward works in a team around the patient consisting of caregivers, nurses, and doctors.

Both wards have a treatment team connected with a psychologist, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, and social worker.

Good cooperation with the municipalities' social services, primary care, and outpatient psychiatry is a success factor in the work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone interested in working with care and treatment measures for patients with severe psychiatric symptoms in the acute phase. You should be self-assured, flexible, and have a good ability to collaborate, as well as a genuine interest in caring for patients with mental health issues, addiction, and comorbidity. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

Meritorious:

• Further education in Psychiatry and/or addiction care
