ABOUT THE POSITION:

Friday is seeking a Service Technician on behalf of Christian Berner for their team within filling machines. Here you will step into a varied role where you work in teams and independently on small and large projects. The automation technology you will work with is based around filling machines, where your responsibilities include assembly, service, and commissioning of the machines.

As a Service Technician, you will have a central role where you work technically hands-on and support dealers and, to some extent, end customers in Norway, Denmark, and throughout Sweden. You will assist with knowledge in technical matters, perform troubleshooting, repair components, and carry out installation and testing of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Other tasks may include programming and configuration of PLCs and frequency controls.

In summary, you will:

  • Work with assembly, reconstruction, commissioning, and testing of machines, in-house in the workshop as well as on-site at customer locations.
  • If necessary, work with controls/systems - PLC, frequency controls, control and regulation technology.
  • Advise internal sales on machine solutions.
  • Perform service on machines/products, both in-house and externally at customer locations.
  • Conduct installations on-site at customer locations.
  • If necessary, contribute to the development of new machine solutions and provide advice on the selection of new items for purchase.

Travel is required within Sweden as well as occasional travel to Norway and Denmark.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:
  • Has at least 2-3 years of work experience as a service technician in the food, process, or chemical industry.
  • Has good knowledge of flow and pump technology.
  • Has knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and pneumatics.
  • Has basic knowledge of PLCs.
  • Holds a valid driver's license (B).
  • Speaks and writes fluently in Swedish and English, as both languages are used internally and externally in daily work.

It is an advantage if you:

  • Have worked with packaging or filling machines in the food, process, or chemical industry.
  • Have knowledge of CAD.
  • Have a post-secondary technical education in automation, mechatronics, electronics, or a related field.

Great emphasis will also be placed on personal suitability, where we believe that you as a person possess a solid technical interest. You also have good problem-solving skills and are meticulous. Furthermore, we believe that you are communicative and used to having various contact points, and can explain technology in a pedagogical manner.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from Christian Berner and our side is that after 6-12 months, you will be directly employed.

  • Scope: Full-time.
  • Start: Immediately/According to agreement considering notice period.
  • Location: Gothenburg.
  • Salary: Fixed monthly salary.
