We own and operate our own facilities, and no one is better at doing this than we are. Today, we are about 160 people distributed across eight units.

The responsibility for wastewater operations is shared by two units that work closely together. Together, they are responsible for the operational management and maintenance of the wastewater pipe network and associated facilities within the city of Gothenburg.

The main area of responsibility and tasks for the wastewater pump unit include preventive and corrective maintenance of pumps/pump stations and wastewater facilities to ensure the safe operation of the system. We currently consist of a team of 15 wonderful colleagues who share the varied tasks that the position entails.

Tasks

We are now looking for someone to take on the role of operations technician, where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and operational management of pump stations and parts of the wastewater pipe network.

As an operations technician with us, you will work with a team of driven colleagues and primarily focus on maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps/pump stations and the associated systems for our pump stations.

The tasks include:

• Operation and maintenance of pump stations.
• Preventive maintenance on our pumps.
• Troubleshooting and addressing equipment in the field.
• Service, troubleshooting, repair in our own workshop.

On-call duty is included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school diploma with a focus on mechanics, pipe network operations, HVAC. Equivalent qualifications may include experience in repairing/performing systematic service/maintenance of water and sewage systems or equivalent education or experience in tasks that the employer deems equivalent.
• Driver's license B.
• Computer skills are required as we work with a digital operation and maintenance system as well as a digital pipeline map.
• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience in the role of operations technician and/or have provided service within water and sewage and systematic service/maintenance as well as management and maintenance of wastewater pump stations.
• Worked with operation and maintenance of pump stations (advantageous).
• Worked with the Water Bank (advantageous).
• Experience in ongoing maintenance of water and sewage (advantageous).
• Driver's license C.

As an operations technician, you are flexible, can adapt to changing conditions, and make independent decisions in your daily work. You have a structured approach and contribute to safe and stable operations.

The position is security classified and requires a successful background check from the Security Police.
