About Sörmlands Gräv & Transport

Established in 2000 (incorporated in 2009), we have grown to approximately 31 employees in recent years. Our fleet includes excavators and wheel loaders of various sizes, as well as crane and tipper trucks. We are members of the Swedish Association of Construction Entrepreneurs (ME), and all machines are inspected and fire safety checked annually to ensure a safe working environment.

The Role

As a wheeled excavator operator, you will be a key person in our projects within earthworks and construction. You will plan and execute excavation and fine grading work, trenching for pipes and cables, as well as tasks such as L-support and foundation work together with the team. Here, we step out of the machine when needed – we help each other, support colleagues, and solve customer problems. It is part of our culture to go the extra mile, maintain order, and leave a neat impression.

Your Responsibilities

• Operate a wheeled excavator with GPS/machine control (production, fine grading, and self-inspection)
• Collaborate closely with skilled workers, supervisors, and clients
• Contribute to making it easy for the customer – in planning, execution, and communication

• An experienced operator who is proficient in machine control/GPS in daily operations
• Solution-oriented, self-driven, and unpretentious
• A team player who is willing to step out of the machine and help where needed
• Meticulous about safety, quality, and “order and tidiness” – you take care of the machine and represent us well to the customer

Requirements

• Documented driving license for excavator
• Class B driving license
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
• Experience with GPS/machine control in production

Meritorious

• Class C driving license (e.g., for transport/movement needs) – not a requirement but a plus according to our profile.

Location, Scope, and Start

• Location: Nyköping and surrounding areas (assignments in adjacent areas may occur) 
• Scope: Full-time, permanent with a probationary period
• Start: Immediately or by agreement
