The Swedish Tourist Association operates eight mountain stations STF Abisko Tourist Station is located in Abisko National Park, 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle and is the northernmost mountain station of the Swedish Tourist Association. We have been running visitor activities here since 1903. Our visitors come from all over the world, year-round, to experience the mountain world around Torneträsk, hike or ski along the Kungsleden, and to witness the legendary Northern Lights!

We are now looking for several people for the position of head server at STF Abisko Tourist Station's dining rooms

Here you will have the opportunity to work and take responsibility in our unique restaurants: Aurora Sky Station with exclusive dinner services under the Northern Lights, Kungsleden Restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner with local flavors, or the Bistro with a relaxed atmosphere & Northern Swedish fast food. The tasks vary and include dinner as well as breakfast and lunch service.

What does the role of head server entail?

• You assist the restaurant manager in the daily operations
• Manage bookings and plan service
• Introduce new employees
• Close collaboration with the kitchen and other departments

Who are you?

• Experience from the restaurant industry is a requirement
• Ability to lead and create security in the workgroup
• Interested and eager to learn about food and drink combinations
• Takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall result
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English

You are a quick learner and passionate about world-class hospitality, a pleasant work environment, and the ability to share your knowledge and experiences with your colleagues. We value your drive, communication skills, and your ability to create the best conditions for guest interactions.

Information about the position

• Employment type seasonal with a great opportunity for permanent employment year-round
• Working hours follow the opening hours of the operations and are scheduled for both weekdays and weekends, evenings, and major holidays such as Christmas and Easter
• Salary according to the collective agreement Visita/HRF, Tourist Supplement
• Meal deductions according to the collective agreement
