About us

Welcome to a unique place near both Lake Mälaren and the city! As a sports facility worker, you are part of the sports and leisure unit responsible for the operation of the municipality's sports facilities, trails, paths, and outdoor areas. A total of nine employees and a unit manager work here, based in Vilundaparken, the municipality's central sports facility. Daily supervision, maintenance, and corrective maintenance are expected throughout the property area, considering the season and usage rate.

We are currently undergoing an expansive phase with the development of new sports facilities and increased maintenance of the many facilities in Upplands Väsby Municipality. This includes both indoor and outdoor facilities such as football halls, ice rinks, sports halls, gymnasiums, exercise trails, spontaneous sports areas, swimming areas, artificial grass fields, and more.

About the position

In the role of sports facility worker, you will participate in the daily operation and service of the municipality's sports facilities. You are the face of our operation and provide high service to everyone who uses the facilities. This includes a lot of contact and communication with people internally in the municipality and users of the sports facilities.

You are expected to solve arising problems and ensure that the sports facilities meet given requirements and maintain a high quality. A large part of the job involves fixing, constructing, and repairing. This also includes performing more physically demanding tasks and using heavier work tools. This requires the ability to handle physically demanding work tasks.

The working hours are during the day, with some evening and weekend work possible.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who has:

• Craftsman background or other experience deemed relevant by the employer
• Experience working both independently and collaboratively
• Knowledge of Swedish
• Some computer skills
• Driver's license B

As a person, you are motivated by providing good service and taking responsibility for driving your work forward. You do this through your good ability to collaborate and be flexible in finding alternative solutions to arising problems. Since the position involves many different contact points, we see that you need to be a person who enjoys this and can easily create good relationships. You also need to be a secure and stable person who can handle more pressured and stressful situations well.
