Deckhand Wanted at Stena Line for Spring and Summer 2025!

We are currently looking for deckhands who want to work in the spring and summer of 2025!

As a deckhand with us at Stena Line, you will work with loading and unloading on the car deck. Together with your colleagues, you will also perform maintenance work, moor the vessel upon arrival, and have watch duties with safety rounds.

An important part of your job is also to welcome and assist our guests as they board and disembark.

Requirements for the position:

• Certification - Deckhand
• Basic Safety Training (5 days)
• Special Ship Security
• Rescue Craft / Lifeboats
• Medical Certificate for Seafarers
• Passport
• Seafarer’s Book
• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of English

Desirable:

• Fast Rescue Boat

All certificates and qualifications must meet the requirements according to STCW-Manila.

What we offer

We offer temporary positions on our Swedish-flagged vessels operating from Gothenburg, Halmstad, and Trelleborg. The schedule consists of 1-2 week shifts with corresponding paid time off in between.

Good to know

The work involves varied working hours throughout the day. If you proceed in the process, you will undergo a drug test in accordance with our alcohol and drug policy. We have a collective agreement with SEKO.
