We are now looking for a Strategic Buyer Lead for Volvo Penta

Do you have deep experience in strategic purchasing and want to take a leading role in the development of sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and sustainable solutions? Then this could be the right assignment for you.

In the role of Strategic Buyer Lead, you will be responsible for driving purchasing strategies, leading complex projects, and acting as an advisor in purchasing matters towards internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in business development through proactive cost-saving initiatives, supplier development, and market analysis.

Knowledge You have broad knowledge in strategic purchasing and are comfortable working with sourcing strategies, supplier management, contract negotiations, and market analysis. You are also well-versed in trends related to sustainability and digitalization.

Experience At least 8 years of experience in purchasing, preferably from the manufacturing industry or automotive. You have led larger projects or end-to-end processes and are used to working at a senior level with great independence.

Leadership You are a natural leader who can coach colleagues, delegate tasks, and take ownership of complex processes. You are analytical, proactive, and business-driven with the ability to create results.

Drive strategic sourcing and cost optimization

Establish and develop supplier strategies

Negotiate and implement contracts

Lead projects and transformation initiatives

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders on sourcing issues
