As a specialist in End of Life (EoL) and Obsolescence, you will work closely with product and project management, designers, and customers to ensure that component-related requirements are handled in a structured and timely manner. You will plan and follow up on deliveries of EoL data in ongoing projects and contribute your expertise regarding the lifecycle and availability of components. By identifying risks early, you help avoid future delivery and quality issues.

You will also participate in quotation and calculation work where you take obsolescence factors into account and play an active role in improving our internal processes. The role involves responsibility for monitoring component status, preparing decision-making materials in EoL situations, and driving improvement work within Obsolescence Management.

This is a role for you who want to combine technology, structure, and business acumen in a business-critical and forward-looking function.

You will join a team of systems engineers, environmental engineers, and Business & design support, the latter group is currently seeking an addition!

Your qualifications

• Engineering degree and/or extensive experience working with electronic products
• Experience working with components that reach end of life, preferably within process industry or similar sectors with complex components and products
• Very good experience with Excel and handling input values
• Swedish citizenship as the position requires you to undergo a security clearance.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience in the defense industry.

In addition to technical competence, high demands are placed on your personal qualities. As a person, you should be proactive and have strong social skills. You need to be able to independently identify and tackle tasks without waiting for detailed instructions. It is important that you thrive in a communicative role where you can present your ideas and solutions to both project teams and other stakeholders.

You are expected to collaborate effectively with people from different functions and backgrounds, make realistic time assessments, and drive your work forward with a high degree of independence.

The role also includes participating in technical discussions within development projects and early identification of potential risks. This may involve detecting components that are costly or difficult to replace and ensuring that these are managed strategically to avoid impacting delivery or product quality.

Salary: Fixed monthly salary

Extent: Full-time, permanent
