Our client Our client, a global leader in its field, has a strong belief in the long-term sustainability of HVDC technology (High Voltage Direct Current). This technology enables energy transport using direct current at high voltages, making it suitable for transmitting energy over long distances and connecting power grids with minimal losses. For offshore wind power or long-distance underwater transmissions, direct current is the most realistic option for energy transmission.

About the role As a mechanical designer, your tasks will include planning, designing in a 3D CAD environment, and modifying machines, equipment, and products. Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that all designs meet the highest standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. In your role, you will coordinate activities both internally and with other groups to effectively achieve goals. This requires knowledge of related functions and technology areas. You will also prepare reports and perform analyses.

Main responsibilities Your main tasks include designing components and facilities using the tools NX and Teamcenter, where you will solve technically demanding problems in various technological areas. You will apply your knowledge and be involved in the entire lifecycle of our client's systems. This includes design, maintenance, integration, verification, commissioning, and documentation of functions necessary for the safe and reliable operation of a facility and transmission links. You will also focus on delivering projects on time with a strong emphasis on cost-effectiveness and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or similar
• Experience with 3D CAD tools, NX and Teamcenter
• Very good knowledge of English and Swedish, both spoken and written

Desirable

• Experience in mechanical design
• Experience with SAP

• Start: Immediately
• Location: Ludvika, weekdays with working hours during the day
• Employment type: You will work as a consultant for 12 months, with the ambition to subsequently be employed directly by the client
