RESPONSIBILITIES

Train to become a tram driver and be part of a proud and secure organization that works to provide Gothenburg residents with sustainable travel! As a tram driver, you need to have good judgment and a calm demeanor. You must be able to handle a variety of traffic situations responsibly, always focusing on safety and the passenger.

You also need to be able to work irregular hours as our trams run almost around the clock, 365 days a year. QUALIFICATIONS

Our passengers expect good service and punctual tram traffic, which means that as a driver, you need to have patience and the ability to handle stress even when traffic is not flowing as it should. In your role as a tram driver, you also need to be comfortable working independently with responsibility for the tram and passengers. It is also a requirement that you read, understand, and speak good Swedish.

Since the job of a tram driver is sedentary, you need to have good physical health. Therefore, Göteborgs Spårvägar offers several health-promoting activities.

You have:

• Swedish driving license with at least category B and completed probationary period
• Good ability to read, understand, and express yourself in spoken and written technical Swedish, as it is a prerequisite for completing the training and being able to comprehend traffic and vehicle instructions
• Good health status, including normal vision and hearing according to the Transport Agency's regulations (TSFS 2019:113)
• High school education or other education deemed equivalent by the employer

It is meritorious if you have:

• Driving experience in urban traffic, preferably from professional driving
• Documented work experience
• Experience from service occupations or customer-related work
• Knowledge of the Gothenburg tram network
• Knowledge of languages other than Swedish

We will place great importance on your responses in the survey. If you proceed in the process, we will request certificates and documentation that can support your CV and your answers in the survey. Great emphasis will also be placed on personal suitability based on the requirements for security services, such as tram drivers.

To be offered a place in the training, you need to participate and be approved in all parts of the recruitment process. This includes an information meeting, interviews, psychological tests, a visit to the tram depot, reference checks, health examinations, and drug tests. We have several training starts that we continuously recruit for, so offers of employment may occur before the application deadline. We are currently recruiting for a training start in April.

In this advertisement, we are only recruiting for full-time positions. A probationary period applies. During the training, you will be temporarily employed and will have a salary of 31,000 SEK/month. After completing the training, there is an opportunity to be placed higher in our salary scale if you can verify previous work experience according to the requirements for achieving a higher salary.
