JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Traffic Coordinator at Nils Ericson Terminal works on behalf of Västtrafik within public transport. Our goal is to provide the best service to our passengers and make traveling with public transport safe and comfortable. Every day, over 444,000 customers choose to travel with Västtrafik's buses, trains, trams, and boats. By developing and offering sustainable journeys and smart services, Västtrafik aims to be the obvious choice when you travel.

At Nils Ericson Terminal, we face new challenges every day! We work with the customer in focus and provide that little extra in terms of service; no two days are alike. It is important to us that you enjoy having significant responsibility and can make quick decisions.

The role of Traffic Coordinator involves working operationally with buses in scheduled traffic, replacement vehicles during train disruptions, analyzing traffic needs, and informing and communicating with relevant parties. In the role of Terminal Host, you meet passengers in the Terminal; you are service-oriented and always think customer-centric and solution-focused.

In our operations, we work where the business requires it, which is why all Traffic Coordinators also work as Terminal Hosts in our Terminal. Working with us means inconvenient working hours, including night shifts and to some extent, solitary work.

You who apply should:

  • Have good availability and be flexible
  • Be able to start work early in the morning and work late evening/night (we operate 24/7)
  • Be able to get to work early in the mornings on both weekdays and holidays.

The position requires, in step 1, a 5-day full-time training (daytime weekdays) in Terminal Hosting. The Traffic Coordinator training has an additional 16 full days with mixed training times morning/evening/night.

As a Terminal Host, we expect you to have an exceptional service mindset. You have great empathy, are proactive, very stress-resistant, and have good physical fitness.

As a Traffic Coordinator, we expect you to be technically interested, problem-solving, proactive, and creative in your decisions. As a Traffic Coordinator, you are expected to handle various traffic incidents smoothly, communicatively, effectively, and stress-free, and to navigate easily in different IT environments.

As a Traffic Coordinator, you must be able to work independently but also in a team. You have excellent communication skills in both spoken and written form, in Swedish and English. We see you as someone who is interested in people and traffic and who wants to participate in the development of our operations and engage in our continuous improvement work.

  • Driver's license B
