Since 1988, Protega has manufactured Swedish fire protection of absolute world-class from its own production facility in Trelleborg. The company has grown slowly but steadily – from a narrow range to a comprehensive offering in passive fire protection, with products such as fire protection paint for steel and wood constructions, fire-safe surfaces, and fire seals for the entire building. Behind the products lies extensive research and development, and several of them achieve the industry's highest environmental ratings. The company is currently in a growth phase, with strong exports to Australia and New Zealand and great potential in the UK and Ireland. With an experienced team and clear direction, Protega continues to develop the sustainable fire protection solutions of the future.
Today, the company consists of 13 people who together are responsible for development, manufacturing, marketing, and sales – all under one roof. This close collaboration enables short decision-making paths, strong quality control, and great flexibility. As a local player in Scandinavia, Protega works closely with its customers and offers Swedish-made products that combine technical function with aesthetic expression – with a finish resembling decorative paint.

Job Responsibilities
As a technical support at Protega, you will be an important link between product, project, and customer. You will be responsible for providing qualified advice on product selection, fire technical solutions, and application – via email, phone, and Protega's digital chat.
A large part of your work involves producing technical calculations based on drawings and project documentation. In this way, you ensure that the company's solutions meet both technical requirements and customer needs. At the same time, you will drive internal testing in their own fire oven, where you test and verify new products for certification.
You will also participate in external testing together with Protega's partners and contribute practically to the correct setup of test environments. Concurrently, you will stay updated on current testing standards, analyze results together with R&D, and share your knowledge in customer training sessions.
- Provide technical support and advice to customers and colleagues regarding technical questions about product selection, solutions, and application
- Project calculations based on drawings and documentation to ensure the right fire protection in each project
- Be responsible for internal testing, participate in external tests, and analyze results in collaboration with R&D
- Stay updated on standards and participate in customer training sessions where you contribute practical and technical knowledge
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
- High school diploma
- Experience in construction, plumbing, manufacturing, or paint
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Driving license B (access to a personal car is an advantage)
