About the school

Tegnérskolan in Karlshamn is a personal independent secondary school with 230 students in grades 7-9 for the 2024-2025 school year. The school has new, beautiful facilities and is located in a lovely environment in the Strömma area, close to Kreativum and Sparbanken Arena. We maintain a high quality of education and have a strong competence among our teachers. With us, students are challenged and build their knowledge for the future. All students should feel seen and be given the best conditions to succeed in their studies.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for an engaged and inspiring Spanish teacher for spring 2025. You will teach the school's students in grades 7-9, and mentorship is also included. The position is a permanent part-time position at 40%. The position could possibly be combined with teaching in other subjects.

Qualifications

You have a teaching certification and experience working in schools. You are responsible, positive, and have a genuine interest in education and learning.

As an educator, you are inspiring and driven to meet and reach all students. You should be secure in yourself and have an easy time collaborating. To work with us, you should enjoy thinking innovatively and finding teaching methods and approaches that capture and create a desire to learn based on students' different needs. You enjoy working in subject-integrated projects and in various digital learning environments. You are a good leader both inside and outside the classroom, with structure and clarity. Goal orientation, determination, and flexibility are important qualities for working with us. We build from the ground up and market ourselves through good work and strong relationships with those around us, including students, parents, and the community.
