Technical Manager with a Focus on Construction

The Västfastigheter region area is responsible for customer relations, representing the property owner in matters concerning the region's real estate portfolio and providing the region's operations with premises.

The regional properties area is also responsible for the region's needs for external rentals, technical safety installations, parking, accessibility issues, and the region's properties for travel centers, bus, and train depots.

We are now looking for a technical manager with a focus on construction for the hospital properties in Borås and Skene!

Job Description

As a technical manager with a focus on construction, you will work in the local office, Solhem on the 10th floor, with work on-site at the Hospital in Borås (including Solhem) and the Hospital in Skene.

In this role, you will work on long-term development and management of daily issues related to the buildings. Responsibilities range from early stages of planning reinvestments and maintenance to initiating projects. You will also work as an expert with requirements specification and follow-up in customer, maintenance, and investment projects. In your role, you will have contact with both suppliers and the region's operations that utilize our premises. Collaboration with our operations and project organization is a natural and important part of the work. In our maintenance projects, you can serve as an assistant project manager. As a technical manager, you will work independently and be available to your colleagues who need guidance.

Travel is included in the position, and where possible, we use public transport for travel.

Qualifications

We see that you have an engineering degree in building technology, or equivalent education combined with several years of experience in the construction industry. It is desirable that you have knowledge and experience in the construction industry as well as one or more specialties such as moisture, indoor environment, building construction, and experience in demanding indoor environments. You are comfortable and used to expressing yourself in speech and writing and are accustomed to oral presentations. A driver's license (B) is a requirement for this position.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in properties and building technology, who is highly engaged and enjoys taking responsibility. You are unpretentious and thrive in close collaboration within our entire management. You have a good ability to create good relationships and are a smooth communicator. With good strategic and analytical skills, you can focus on both parts and the whole.
