Service Host at Stena Line
When you leave the land and step aboard, you are greeted by a workplace filled with activity, collaboration, and a sea of opportunities alongside colleagues and our guests. As a Service Host, you may work in various areas such as hotel, restaurant, and shop - all equally important for providing our guests with the best travel experience!
Hotel
If you work with our hotel, you ensure that our guests receive the utmost comfort and sleep. You do this by cleaning and welcoming guests! We have many cabins and large areas on board that you clean and prepare before each departure, which means you need to work meticulously yet efficiently.
Restaurant
In our various restaurants, cafés, and bars, you will be involved in table service, dishwashing, and clearing tables. You will work at a fast pace while assisting our guests!
Shop
Here, you sell our popular products, including beauty items, candy, and beverages. You ensure that the shop is well-stocked and tidy while contributing tips and knowledge to our guests.
What We Offer
Since our inception, Stena Line has promoted community and created lifelong friendships. Working on board is not like any other job; you work and live on board for a whole week and then have a paid week off.
Safety always comes first on board, and you are an important part of our safety work. Before starting with us, we ensure that you receive thorough training in safety, service, and much more – all so that we can experience a fantastic adventure together on board! Training starts in February 2025.

Your Must-Haves:
- Work experience in cleaning, hotel, restaurant, and/or shop
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Good swimming skills
- Over 18 years old
- Valid passport or national ID card
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education from hotel, tourism, or restaurant school
- Additional language skills
Good to Know
- Our Swedish-flagged ships depart from Gothenburg, Halmstad, and Trelleborg, and you should be able to depart from all ports.
- You are expected to work in all different areas as a Service Host.
- The job involves varying working hours at all times of the day.
- If you progress in the process and are offered employment with us, you will undergo a medical examination and drug test in accordance with our alcohol and drug policy.

Interested?
The position is a seasonal employment starting by agreement but no later than week 24. We expect you to be able and willing to work full-time during the summer of 2025. Selection and interviews will be ongoing. The last application date is March 31. We have a collective agreement with SEKO.
