About the Unit

LogE is the primary reference for the garrison's OrgE and referred military units regarding logistics support needs. LogE Staff is the planning and coordination function of C LogE and provides C LogE with decision-making support. LogE Staff analyzes and prepares incoming tasks and provides necessary guidance to referred units as well as to DUC for the implementation of logistics support. The department has several administrators and officers who analyze, prepare, and follow up on cases within their functional area.

Main Responsibilities

The role of the staff chief at LogE Staff involves maintaining staff readiness, leading assessments and preparations, coordinating planning within the staff and with referred units, and reporting on assigned tasks according to higher command directives. You coordinate, provide necessary guidance, and follow up on assigned tasks. You also participate in the unit's operational planning, training planning, and budget work.

  • OF-3 or OF-2
  • Officer's degree
  • Well acquainted with staff working methods
  • Driving license B

  • Officer's degree with a focus on logistics
  • Familiar with the Armed Forces' processes in supply management and technical services as well as associated command support systems
  • Experience in a leadership role as CPA

Information about the Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:

Uppland Air Wing, F 16, has its headquarters at Uppsala garrison. The unit is part of the Swedish Air Force and is responsible for the operation and surveillance of Uppsala Airport as well as the training of conscripts in several different positions within the Air Force. The unit also leads the 161st Combat Control and Air Surveillance Battalion, which directs combat aircraft in the air and maintains constant surveillance of Swedish airspace. The unit operates from several locations in the country and is an important part of the growth period that the Air Force is facing.
