The Ambulance Pajala is one of 15 stations in the Ambulance Care of Norrbotten, we are a rural station with a 24-hour vehicle and a day vehicle.

We are looking for

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with specialist training in ambulance care, anesthesia, intensive care or emergency care. You have at least three years of continuous possession of a B driver's license and good experience in driving.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. As a person, you find it easy to collaborate with different colleagues. In your meetings with patients and relatives, you are attentive and have a good understanding of people in various difficult situations. You have personal maturity and the ability to make independent decisions with good judgment. You must be stress-resistant, able to remain calm, and work effectively in stressful situations. In your interactions with people, you act professionally and build trust. Good physical condition is required as heavy lifting is part of the job. Tests are conducted prior to employment.

This is what you will work with

In ambulance care, you work with a vital societal function that means providing pre-hospital emergency care around the clock. You meet patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury, either in their homes, outdoors, or at accident and injury sites. Together with a paramedic or another nurse, you form a team that is often first on the scene. Your competence as a paramedic is crucial, as you make the initial assessment, provide emergency care, and have the medical responsibility to decide on necessary care and treatment measures.

Each intervention involves unique situations and challenges where your help can be life-saving and make a real difference. You work closely within the team and in collaboration with other professionals. Ambulance care is organizationally its own unit within the emergency care block and collaborates with emergency departments, health centers, municipalities, rescue services, and police.

Information about the position

Permanent full-time employment. Working hours are scheduled for day and night without on-call duty. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements. Selection and interviews are ongoing, and positions may be filled before the application deadline.
